Synopsis
An intimate examination of the diaspora of the Iranian people of the Baha'i faith and its importance in the narratives of three generations of Iranian women now living in Vermont. Spurred by a provocative family memory and a lifetime of separation from the country her mother left behind, Director Sierra focuses on integrating her mother's and her grandmother's narratives into her own. Frame by frame the film exposes a wide variety of differences between the identities of the three generations of women: cultural, historical, political, educational, and, especially, language.
