Synopsis
Nine-year old Ralphie (Peter Billingsley) wants only one thing for Christmas: a "Red Ryder Carbine Action 200-shot Range Model Air Rifle." We double dog dare you not to love this heart-warming comedy based on the childhood memories of author Jean Shepherd, who also narrates the film. Melinda Dillon co-stars as Ralphie's mom and Darren McGavin plays his dad ("the Old Man"), whose taste in lamps is somewhat unusual. ("You'll shoot your eye out!")
